Introduction:
Continuing with the previous focus, the Training Development for
Peak Performance Workshop continues where the
Training Design for Peak Performance Workshop left off. The instructional
developer begins by concentrating on what the performer must do and produce on
the job.
The focus of this
three-day workshop is on the development of job aids, instructional materials,
tests, practice exercises, and instructor's guides. Workshop participants
will also practice assessing, adapting, and maintaining training material to
ensure exemplary job performance.
This workshop is presented in-house at your
facility.
Rationale for course:
The
tools in this workshop enable participants to learn how-to maximize the effect of training on the organization
goals while minimizing costs.
Course goal:
Upon completion of this workshop and
given the job aids included, participants will be able to develop job aids,
instructional materials, tests, practice exercises, and instructor guides. Participants will also be able to assess, adapt, and maintain training.
Graduates of the Training Development Workshop are able to produce and develop:
- A full curricula, courses, and modules, including practices
and tests.
- Participant and leaders guides, select media appropriate to
training content, develop self-instructional materials, test, validate, and
evaluate training materials.
- A plan for the implementation of
training, including the details of training administration.
Schedule:
Each day consists of brief presentations with
extensive examples, time allotted for self-study, practice exercises as well as
specific application of tools to participant's needs.
